How to choose the right plastic container

Before you invest in plastic containers, it’s a good idea to determine what you are going to use them for. But how do you know which plastic container is best suited to your requirements? At Measom Freer, we’ve been manufacturing and producing plastic containers – and plastic bottles – for the last 85 years, and have a wide variety of plastic containers for you to choose from.

Plastic containers from Measom Freer

Let’s take a look at the various styles of plastic containers we stock, and their functions, to determine exactly what you need – or want.

Thin Walled Jars

Our thin walled jars are perfect for any cosmetic company out there looking for cost-effective and versatile storage solutions. Ideal for storing a wide-range of powders, lotions, creams, gels and waxes.

As they are made from recyclable clear polystyrene (PS), our thin walled jars are also suitable for storing salts, dental implants and crowns, forensic samples, fine glitter and small parts.

We also stock the caps and lids, which are sold separately – and can also produce the jars in other plastics – such as styrene-acrylonitrile resin (SAN), polyethylene terephthalate (PETG) and bioplastics. All of our jars are available in various sizes.

Thick Walled Jars

Offering greater stability and durability with a contemporary style, we offer 10 different types of thick walled jars as part of our plastic containers range – with sizes in 10ml, 25ml, 50ml, 100ml and 150ml. We use the same four materials listed above to manufacture these products, which have unlimited uses. This makes our thick walled jars perfect for virtually any industry.

Offering both stock and custom-made plastic boxes, perfect for all industries, our plastic containers can be manufactured in a range of plastics to ensure all contents are kept safe during storage and display. You can choose from 8 different rectangular sizes in this plastic containers range, as well as one circular option, and you can customise the colour.

Our boxes can be used to store a variety of different things, including:

  • Food
  • Craft and hobby
  • Archaeology findings
  • Art materials
  • Fishing tackle
  • Gem storage
  • Nail art materials
  • Jewellery
  • Specimens
  • Cleaning supplies

Our boxes can be ordered in PS, high-impact polystyrene plastic sheets (HIPS), polypropylene plastic (PP) and bioplastics.

Soap Boxes

To complement all premium soaps and protect them from outside elements, our high-quality, rigid soap boxes come in three round clear designs, holding between 20 – 100g. Alternatively, our classic shaped white soap box, holds between 20 and 25g of soap.

Our range of soap boxes are manufactured in PS, HIPS, SAN and bioplastic.

Small Rigid Tubes

Not only ideal for school science labs, our rigid tubes from our range of plastic containers are also ideal for storing small amounts of chemicals, glitter, cake decorations, acrylic powder, crafts and other small miscellaneous products.

Complete with a secure closure, you can choose from either a screw-on or push-on cap, which offers the perfect seal. Coming in four different sizes, our small rigid tubes are stocked in either clear PS or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and can be ordered in other materials, including the following:
